When did you start working at Pavo:
I started working at the front desk at Pavo in September 2022. I received my cosmetology license in December 2024.
My previous jobs:
Apprentice and front desk at Pavo; family law legal assistant; homemaker for 20 years.
My hometown and places I have lived:
I have lived from Colorado to Florida, along with a few places in between.
I decided to become a stylist because:
My mother unintentionally scarred me with crooked bangs when I was just two years old—thankfully, I don’t remember it, but the pictures are proof, haha! Despite that, becoming a cosmetologist has been a lifelong dream of mine. I spent countless hours in my playroom styling my life-sized Barbie head, experimenting with all sorts of looks. I begged my mom to let me cut her hair, but she never gave in. Instead, I satisfied my passion by trimming my children’s hair and grooming our dog over the years. Now that my kids are grown and have flown the nest, I’ve decided it’s the perfect time to finally pursue my dream!”
Who is your dream client and why:
Someone who is decisive and knows what they want but is also willing to take guidance and direction from me based on my training, knowledge, and skill.
My professional goal is:
My favorite thing to do is problem solve and nothing excites me more than a creative solution. I’m hoping that my time in the salon will provide an opportunity for me to invent or create a product or a tool that can help stylists.
What I want every client to know about me:
I love to laugh! Laughter is truly the best medicine and has helped me many times in my life. On top of making people feel good about their hair and how they look, I want to help make them feel better about themselves when they leave my chair. And if I can make you laugh and brighten your day then you made my day better.
If you aren’t at the salon, where else can you be found:
Outdoors! I love being outside in nature whether I’m working in the yard, walking, biking, or hiking. I do enjoy fishing but you’ll most likely find me on the golf course. When it’s cold I enjoy cooking, sewing, and DIY projects.
