When did you start working at Pavo:
June 2020!
My previous jobs:
I worked a few retail jobs through college, like Best Buy & Aeropostale, but I spent 10 years before doing hair as a writer & journalist & have a bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
My hometown and places I have lived:
I’m originally from the small town of Conehatta, MS, but also lived in Decatur, MS & Hattiesburg, MS.
I decided to become a stylist because:
I was lucky enough to get a job at the front desk of Pavo Laurelwood after the COVID pandemic caused me to lose my job. Once I was in the salon, I saw how much fun all the stylists were having doing their work & started asking them all about why they chose to do hair. A year after working front desk, I started cosmetology school!
Who is your dream client and why:
That’s a hard one, but I’d say either Fran Drescher or Reba McEntire because I love a good storyteller.
My professional goal is:
I want to be an all-around good stylist, with a big focus on color, and one day I hope to be a texture specialist as well.
What I want every client to know about me:
I love meeting new people & working with hair, so come and have a good time with me by sitting in my chair.
If you aren’t at the salon, where else can you be found:
I would either be at home with my cat, dogs & roommate or at a drag show somewhere in Memphis.
