When did you start working at Pavo:
I opened my first salon in 1994, which became Pavo in 2000 when Shawn and I became business partners.

My previous jobs:
I started my career at 19. Before that, I worked at Super D as a cashier, at Putt-Putt Golf and Games, and my favorite job was selling clothes at Merry Go Round in the Raleigh Mall. Shout out to the ’80s!

My hometown and places I have lived:
I have lived in Memphis and Fort. Lauderdale.

I decided to become a stylist because:
I became a stylist because it was a form of art that I was good at. Beyond that, I love the power that hair possesses. When you look good, you feel good.

Who is your dream client and why:
My dream client is whoever sits in my chair. Let’s connect and create.

My professional goal is:
I’m living my professional goal. I always wanted to create an environment for people, and myself, to continually grow both personally and professionally, to always have fun, and never stagnate.

What I want every client to know about me:
I love no-fuss hair. I enjoy creating dimensional color. I’m a big storyteller and will entertain you with them. I have an amazing memory and never forget a face or a name. I genuinely want to make you happy, and I am confident in my work.

If you aren’t at the salon, where else can you be found:
I find simplicity is best these days. I like to fill my time with genuine people, family, and my dog, Toby, is always by my side. You can find me in the sun when the weather is good! I’m always in front of the camera or behind it, capturing moments that speak to me!
